Review
Since launching the Truncate alias and label in 2011, David ‘Audio Injection’ Flores has delivered some seriously raw analogue techno. He’s at it again here, delivering a rare techno-minded 7″ single for those who like their tracks punchy and to the point. The untitled A-side offers a near perfect fusion of vintage Chicago jack and the relentless, bass-heavy throb of techno – all wonky electronic riffs, “house your body” vocal snatches and booming beats. Flip to the B for an energy-packed, acid-flecked version that takes the original and gives it one colossal kick up the backside. It’s the sort of thing you’d expect to hear from Jamal Moss, which is high praise indeed.
